“At the heart of everything I do is a belief that creativity belongs to everyone, not just to those who think themselves as artists”
I am a contemporary collage and textile artist, arts-based practitioner, and creative coach working with collage, stitch, fabric, and storytelling. My creative practice explores themes of identity, place, memory, transition, and belonging.
Using found imagery, textiles, and symbolic materials, I create work that sits between contemporary collage, autobiographical making, and reflective inquiry. I am particularly interested in how visual and tactile methods can help us make sense of change, navigate periods of transition, and reconnect with ourselves and our environments.
Alongside my art practice, I lead creative workshops for adults, young people, families, schools, and community groups. My workshops are welcoming, thoughtful, and open to both beginners and experienced makers, and especially those who feel they “aren’t creative”! I love working with small groups and creating supportive spaces where people can have fun, experiment, reflect, build confidence, and reconnect with their own creative voice. At the heart of everything I do is a belief that creativity belongs to everyone, not just those who identify as artists.
I also work within the care sector, designing and facilitating person-centred creative activities that support wellbeing, connection, and meaningful engagement through visual arts.
Alongside this, I bring over 20 years’ experience working with visual and arts-based methods across research, education, leadership development, and organisational contexts. Much of my career has involved using creative approaches to support reflection, dialogue, learning, and change through workshops, coaching, and visual inquiry projects with organisations, schools, and communities.
I offer creative coaching and coaching through collage, using visual and reflective methods to support periods of transition, identity exploration, burnout recovery, workplace change, and personal development. I am a certified arts-based coach and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Creative Methods. My work exploring visual storytelling, collage, and arts-based approaches has featured in the press, including BBC Radio 4, the Evening Standard, and Ideal Home, and I have recently co-authored two books exploring arts-based methods, collage, photography, and creative inquiry.
