THE CREATIVE YEARS

Childhood Collage commissions

You love your child’s drawings, paintings and creations, but over time they pile up, pilling drawers, boxes, and bags. It’s hard to throw them away, yet impossible to keep everything they make, and we all know...some end up in the bin?!

My Childhood Collage commissions are a way of keeping what matters, without the clutter. By carefully transforming your child’s artwork and crafty creations into one thoughtfully composed, professionally framed artwork, their imagination is preserved and celebrated in a meaningful way that can happily live on your walls.

Solving the problem of clutter......and guilt!

We can all feel emotionally attached to our child’s artwork - even the scribbles and doodles. But we can easily feel overwhelmed by volume, so we either cram it all into ‘memory boxes’ never to be seen again, or it ends up in the bin with a pang of guilt thrown in! Remember that scene in Motherland, where the kids bring their creations home at the end of term...?! We can’t keep everything - we can’t keep every painting and pasta-shell necklace. Plus, we’re living in homes where storage is a premium and we often want our homes to feel calm, considered, and de-cluttered the front of our fridges can only take so much! My Childhood Collages solve this problem and incorporate loads of pictures into one, bespoke, affordable artwork that you’ll be proud to hang on your wall.

What is a Childhood Collage?

A beautiful, one-of-a-kind, professionally framed collage artwork made from your child’s drawings, paintings, cards, and creative work, combined with hand-painted details and a portrait photograph of your choosing.

How much does it cost and what do I get?

Each artwork is made as a one-of-a-kind, fine art commission, carefully composed at a manageable, wall-friendly size. Most pieces are created at 30 x 30cm (square) or 30 x 42cm (A3) on high-quality 300gsm archival paper. Smaller or larger pieces can be discussed too. Your child’s artwork is hand-cut and thoughtfully arranged, combined with fine detailed pen work, before being professionally box-framed with glass. The finished piece arrives ready to hang - a memory made to last a lifetime.

Because every piece is bespoke so the prices below reflect the time, care and craftsmanship involved, while remaining as accessible as possible and includes professional framing: 30 x 30cm square framed artwork: £xxx (ideal for one child) 30 x 42cm (A3) framed artwork: £xxx (the most popular option!).

Larger sibling or family piece: from £xxx (good for multiple children or larger collections of work) This is a special commission, but also makes a meaningful gift for birthdays, milestones, or grandparents. Payment plans over several months are available.

Prices above don’t include postage - this is costed at enquiry stage.

How is this Collage different?

There are lots of ways to display children’s artwork - frames that swap pictures in and out, or large collage canvases that take over a whole wall. Childhood Collages sit somewhere very different. Rather than storing, rotating, or simply mounting a few pieces at a time, this work gathers many drawings, paintings and handmade objects into one thoughtfully composed artwork. By scanning, reducing, and carefully selecting elements alongside the option to include small originals and 3D craft details, your piles of creativity are transformed into a single, framed piece that feels intentional and art led.

The result isn’t a craft display or a storage solution, but a considered artwork designed to live comfortably in everyday homes, without needing vast wall space.
